The Sontronics Orpheus Condenser Microphone special features are its unique -10dB cut and +10dB boost function and its striking design, boasts very low self-noise and this combined with its massive presence and hence defined clarity, especially in the higher frequencies. Hence allows you to record the subtlest of vocals or instruments without the need to edit after the original recording.

The 35mm dual-diaphragm mic capsule is highly sensitive and is mounted in its own special mount, almost floating in a spherical basket which is big and enhances ORPHEUS to get every detail of the recording sound. ORPHEUS gives a very low resonance because its body made from zinc alloy, helping to keep the signal close and clear.

The three polar patterns also mean that ORPHEUS is fantastically versatile. For example, when it comes to recording groups and orchestra (in Omni mode). Likewise for use in mid-side and another application (in figure-of-8 mode) or even for shooting and sound effects work of a film.
