SPL Gain Station 1

• The GainStation 1 is a single-channel, high-end preamplifier with a 60V audio rail.
• This preamplifier combines Class-A Clean Gain with sound-shaping Tube Gain in a small form that allows for free placement near the microphone or on top of an amplifier.
• The GainStation 1 is the premium recording front end, guaranteeing that every microphone or instrument signal is pre-amplified to the highest standard.
• The quality of your recordings has a significant impact on the following mixing process; better recordings require less processing in later stages. If the signals are captured optimally, they may be blended at lower levels without losing their presence, resulting in improved transparency and understandability with less equalization and compression.

• Separated Class A and tube preamps.

•  A tube stage with superior MKP foil condensers and a selected 12 AX7 LPS tube for clean, dramatic sounds.

•  Custom-made, totally discrete Class A op-amps.
•  The 60V DC Audio Rail working voltage is double that of most typical op-amps, allowing for an increased dynamic range.
•  The amplifier slew rate is <40V/µs, ensuring clean transmission of high frequencies and quick transients.
•  All switch functions are controlled by encapsulated relays with gold-plated contacts.
•  The optimized architecture ensures the shortest feasible signal routes, while suitably scaled grounding surfaces assure low impedance and maximum shielding.
