Kali Audio IN-UNF Overview:

The IN-UNF is an ultra-nearfield desktop studio monitor system designed for usage in compact places where the ability to be loud is limited, either due to room acoustics or neighbor tolerance. The IN-UNF delivers full-range audio at reference levels, with ample headroom at 0.8 meters, or roughly arm’s length.

Convenient setup:

The entire system is installed on your Xdesk and delivers the same full-range, low-distortion listening experience as a pair of IN-8s at regular listening distance. The IN-UNF’s flexible setup choices allow users to simply integrate it into their existing deskscape; the bass unit can be put vertically to sit behind a laptop or display or horizontally to serve as a monitor riser for a display.

Bass Units:

The IN-UNF consists of three major components: a bass unit and two satellites. The bass section houses two high-excursion 4.5-inch woofers, as well as the system’s amplifier and electronics. The two woofers are horizontally opposed, so no net vibration is communicated to the desk or anything else on the bass unit. The two satellites have the same coaxial midrange and tweeter as Kali’s highly regarded IN-5 and IN-8 studio monitors.

High Power:

The bass unit also has a number of inputs to accommodate all of your audio needs. Computers, phones, and tablets can be connected using the USB-C connector, which provides 24-bit resolution and a 48k sampling rate. Optical and 3.5mm inputs enable digital and analog connections to consumer devices such as game consoles and receivers. Stereo TRS inputs are supplied for use with conventional professional audio gear.

Desktop Speakers:

The IN-UNF is specifically designed for its duty as a desktop speaker. The desk is accounted for as an acoustic component of the system, which solves some of the issues that often arise when placing speakers on a desk. DIP switches are given to account for the system’s position in the room and allow you to adjust the bass, mids, and treble to your liking.
