The Kali Audio WS-6.2 is a studio subwoofer that features two 6.5-inch horizontally opposed woofers. It takes up less than half the space of comparable subwoofers, making it perfect for stereo mix configurations with limited room.

The WS-6.2 is designed to be a companion subwoofer for Kali’s LP-Series and IN-Series monitors, but it will work well with almost any pair of studio monitors.

Small size, huge sound.

The Kali Audio WS-6.2 is only slightly larger than an 8-inch studio monitor, making it ideal for use beneath a desk or in other confined areas. The horizontally opposed woofers of the WS-6.2 have the same radiating area as a 10-inch woofer but are much smaller and more compact.

Furthermore, the woofer arrangement cancels out net vibration, ensuring that the sub does not scoot, buzz, or rattle even at high SPL levels.

The Kali Audio WS-6.2 has a maximum SPL of 120 dB, which is more than enough for most stereo settings and modest multichannel configurations. If additional SPL is required, a second WS-6.2 can be installed without taking up much space. You might also consider using our larger WS-12 subwoofer.

IO and Control

The Kali Audio WS-6.2 includes balanced inputs for XLR or TRS cables, as well as unbalanced RCA inputs.

You can use the 80 Hz crossover to increase your monitors’ low-end response, use LFE mode to feed the sub a dedicated LFE channel, or disable the crossover and use an external crossover for more versatility. The 80 Hz crossover is designed for use with Kali studio monitors, but it will also work with monitors from other popular manufacturers.

When employing the 80 Hz crossover, the XLR outputs will send out a high-passed signal. The WS-6.2 contains a footswitch connector for turning off the subwoofer, and the XLR outputs provide a full-range signal to your studio monitors. Port Tube

The Kali Audio WS-6.2, like Kali Audio’s full-range monitors, features a front-firing port tube to reduce noise and compression.

Most port tubes have air leaving at different speeds from various positions at the entrance, resulting in noisy turbulence. This turbulence can be heard as “chuffing,” which is an audible air sound coming from the monitor. This sound will raise the noise level and conceal low-end details.

The port tube on WS-6.2 was intended to ensure that all of the air exits at the same speed. This improves the speaker’s low-end performance while keeping the bass clean, tight, and free of additional noise.
